National law firm, Slater and Gordon, has relocated its Manchester office to The Tootal Buildings, choosing the fully fitted-out first floor of Lee House.

This 12,348 sq ft, EPC A, space comes with the highest quality furniture and fittings to make the move to its new workspace simple and easy.

Alexander Leverett, head of workplace and facilities at Slater and Gordon, said: “Slater and Gordon enables our colleagues to work digitally and in an agile manner. The focus on technology, combined with an opportunity created under our existing lease enabled us to look at alternative premises in Manchester that would align with our current and future business needs.

“We completed several extensive searches in Manchester and felt Tootal met the brief. When you enter Tootal, there is a real sense of community created by the communal spaces and amenities provided within them. It was great to see sustainability credentials already in place for the building.

“Small touches like bike pumps and tools for cyclists, really make the difference and shows the building managers are really in tune with what occupants want and need.”

Sustainability was a big attraction to Slater and Gordon as it embarked on a sustainability drive having gone paperless.

From 2019 to 2023, the team has off-sited nearly 40,000 files from the Manchester office, implementing an off-site scanning and re-call service. This will result in reducing approximately 30% of its fuel consumption as part of its relocation to The Tootal Buildings.

Edwards & Co and CBRE are joint agents on the building.

Ed Keany, director at Edwards & Co, said “The Tootal Buildings continue to attract quality businesses, we’re delighted Slater and Gordon selected the buildings for their new Manchester hub.

“The quality of workspace and amenities available to occupiers, along with championing wellbeing and sustainability, really differentiates Tootal from other options in the Manchester market.”

The Tootal Buildings has undergone significant remodeling works and in addition to quality, offices and flexible workspace, offers its occupiers an exceptional range of amenities.

Italian-inspired café, La Collina, offers an informal place for meetings or to breakout of the office. The wellness space provides excellent shower and changing facilities, a cycle repair station and 300 cycle spaces, championing an active commute to the office.

The courtyard has been transformed to provide a biophilic, open-air space to improve the wellbeing of occupiers and to provide the perfect place to enjoy a break from the office. Regular events are also hosted in the space which welcome some of Manchester’s best street food traders.
